Matt Coate
Business Administrator
Matt graduated with a BS degree from Auburn University. He earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the School of Business at Trevecca Nazarene University. He worked for 10 years with Zoe’s Kitchen restaurant brand and played a vital role in facilitating the company’s growth from a privately held organization to a publicly traded company with more than 250 restaurants nationwide.
Matt’s career later led him to work with a multi-unit McDonald’s franchise where he was COO and oversaw Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Operations Services for nine restaurants with over 400 restaurant employees in the greater Nashville area.
Matt has always been actively involved in his local church from his time leading Men’s Ministry activities at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, TX, his founding of a fitness outreach ministry (Faith Rx’d) in Birmingham, AL, to his Men’s Ministry and Small Group Leadership here at FBCMJ.
Matt, his lovely wife Katie, and their sweet daughter Abigail have lived in the greater Nashville area since 2019 and have been members at FBCMJ since 2021.
